- Here, before, there was a page "Change & Sweep" that should be replaced by "TXTRPL & AP", two similar Mulligan programs. But I prefer the title "Dos Mulligan Toys", because, as the Power Toys, as the Rapido Toys, it is an outfit of little complementary tools presented by Mulligan on his page. These toys are Dos utilities, but may be very useful on Windows to automatise some tasks (by putting commands in a .bat file).
(note : Change & Sweep is always available on this site, only 4 Kb, zip format)
- TXTRPL
TXT as text, RPL as replace, TXTRPL is a program to replace characters set in one or several files. There is a Windows version, here under, and a Dos version, to look like the other Dos Mulligan commands. Here is the best use, for me, because I prefer BK Replace, which allows to work with the long file names. But TXTRPL allows more precise ways to replace. The two versions, Dos and Windows, are working (if you want it) in all the sub-folders of a folder.
- AP
This little program is very powerful. It allows to launch a Dos command on all the sub-directories of the current directory. It is to be associated with an other command, for instance del to delete all the *.bak save files. You only have to create a .bat file with the two following lines, and to put a shortcut somewhere in the start menu :
cd \
ap del *.bak
- DF
To get the size of each directory (Unix like).
- FSF
Displays the files having a size greater than a value.
- FOLD
Cuts the lines too long in a text file.
- There are also some "like-searchs" on files or texts in files, and also convertors Html toward text, text toward Html, and so...
- Of course it is not heavy to download (around 60Kbo, excepted Windows TXTRPL 270 Kb), you only have to go on the page of the author. Documentation is in french, a little in english.
