- Dominion departs from one essential Ataxx rule, because it does not allow to play on all the positions of the square which delimit the abilities to play around a piece. The 8 twinning one's are available, but only 4 jump positions are available (horizontally and vertically), and only if there is no piece or block to jump. So the maximum number of destinations is 12, instead of 24 for Ataxx (see the picture).
- So, in the part of the under game, where 3 blue (round) pieces fight 5 red (squared) pieces, with 3 present blocks (hourglass), the left blue piece can reach only 4 squares (coloured in yellow-green-ochre), instead of 8 in Ataxx.
-
- 13 size of board, from 8x8 to 32x32. It is possible to parameter the colour of squares, pieces, blocks (above, the default colours). Squares are rectangular, but may become squared, if the window is so. The position of the blocks is random and no symmetrical. The initial positions of pieces is random, each player has as many pieces as there are squares in each corner of the board (it is also the number of blocks).
- Under, you see the game in a squared 8x8 board, the top blue piece is selected, with indication (in yellow) of the 6 possible moves (instead of 12 in Ataxx) (here blocks are parameted to be in green).
