Python est a very good très programmation language, simple and powerful. Most used on Linux, it works also on Windows and Mac. Justin Shacklette had the good idea to make an Ataxx for this environment.
Three applicative levels, too difficult to install
Alas, he did it by using a game library called pygame. So it needs to install three levels of programs : python (already present on Linux), pygame and pytaxx. And pygame is very hard to install on Linux for a no-specialist. The python sources (as pygame.py) are not obviously here and maybe there is another level (SDL) to install ? Perhaps it is easier on Windows, but I stopped on my failing Linux install. So I only briefly present this game.
The look is inspired from the Leland Ataxx, and the authors claims this famous origin. The game seems very classical, with blocks. It's a GPL game.
