If you are here, reading these lines, it is because you already have a Web navigation software, and surely also an e-mail and a NewsGroup reader. If you don't have the Microsoft programs, you surely have the Netscape ones, because the others are less used.
Internet Explorer is the browser of Microsoft, Navigator the Netscape one.
Outlook Express is the associated program to manage E-mail and news, Messenger the Netscape one.
I use Internet Explorer and Messenger. Why ? About Messenger, go on the page Netscape Messenger.
The main reason for me to use Internet Explorer is that in two mouse clicks on a Html page, I go on the notapad (= Super Notetab). For Communicator, I need 4 or 5 clics by going thru an other program...
Elsewhere, each one has advantages and lacks. Particularly, IE has a good historic management, a good complete Html file save, in the version 5, Netscape allows to share access, with the profiles... More generally, I find IE quicker than Navigator, but it is a secundary difference...
With Internet Explorer 4, you acquire Windows 97 !
