French songs of the 70'
This section of the site is about some French singers of the seventies. Not the best known but the others. Not the more ordinary ones but the others. Almost all are authors of their own songs and they say what they have to say without concessions to the media. Some are now forgotten, others dtill have still a small but faithful listening-public.
The seventies was a good time for French "chanson". The eighties were poor and the nineties better, with great success for some seventies singers such as Souchon, Cabrel, Sanson... These singers are interesting too, but they are not included here, because they have good sites elsewhere on the French web...

And if you don't understand the French language, that is a great shame, because there are some marvellous things in our songs.
