Son of a master mariner, Marten Toonder liked to animate this little captain, who travels accross the seas, by living 141 fantastic adventures.
Published in several french or belgian daily newspapers, where he is called Cappi (Le Soir de Bruxelles, for instance) or Cappy (in Le Progrès, Lyon), and also in the comics book "Saxo", published by "Les éditions Mondiales". His dutch original name is Kappie.
