- This game was created by the German Paul Buchheit, before he made P.B Windows Ataxx, and, chiefly, Ataxxlet.
- This XAtaxx (not to confound with the same name game, also on the same X-Windows interface) is to be played on a network, from a Unix machine, client of a computeur (server) who plays.
- From this picture, it don't seem to have parameters for changing the board size and the blocks configurations (perhaps randomly ?). Classical red and blue pieces are called Blobs.
-
- Paul Buchheit said : "Writing a computer program to play Ataxx was the challenge in this year's Engineering Week ACM programming competition. The winners were determined by pitting each Ataxx client against every other client twice, each client taking a turn going first, then ranking the clients by number of games won". In this challenge, Paul was in second position.
- This game is not to download, but you may visit the page where the author present it.
