- On Apple Macintosh, it is simply called Ataxx. The version 1.03 (also called Ataxx 103) may be played on System 7.
- The version 1.02, is dated may 1992, the 29th. The author is the American Larry Kepko. In this version, it is a weak program with some bugs.
- Board in 6x6, 7x7 or 8x8 size, red and blue pieces. The blocks are randomly created, for each game. Edit board feature (not working in the 1.02 version).
- Version 1.02 :
- The beginning positions are not classical, because the human (in red) is on the left corners, and the computer (in blue) is on the right corners.
- 5 levels, 3 modes (human-human, human-computer, computer-computer). Nice statistics feature that tracks your success and progress against different players.
- Was to download from ftp://ftp.amug.org/pub/amug/bbs-in-a-box/files/game/a/ataxx1.03.sit.hqx (135 Kb), but it is now unavailable... The old version 1.02 is on this page (51 Kb, hqx format).
