Game in 4 CD-Rom for PC / Dos, announced for 1992, out only in 1995. Made by
Trilobyte and distributed by Virgin, it is the continuation of The 7th Guest.
It seems that the Ataxx / Microscope puzzle of The 7th Guest has
such a success that in the new version, there is an Hexxagon. Its hexagonal
board contains hexagons (5 by side) which look like honeycombs. No blocks,
pieces has the colours of honey (you) and blood (the computer, Karl the bad).
The pieces positions, at the beginning, is the same than the default beginning
of the SC Hexxagon.
In the third CD, after many and many riddles, the player confronts a
new one called as "You might hear a well mannered cockney..." In the attic,
after the wooden door, on the ground is a Beehive Puzzle... It is the Hexxagon.
The difficulty is not to play, it is to find the game
A (bad...) photo :
I have admiration for those who have the patience to endure such
riddles, one after one. And I do not understand that it is impossible to go
directly to each one... I also find abnormal that the origins of the games are
not explained.
The Hexxagon, itself, has a good level, but not more. It has the big
drawback to be too slow, because there are animations that can't be removed.
With this sort of game, it is not possible to have screenshots.
However, I found this image on the Web ;
To directly access the Hexxagon, you may download from this site a
saved file (1 Kb, zip format). It has
the number 9 (S11h.9), perhaps will you have to rename it (for example S11h.2).
And don't forget that it needs the third CD...
